Edit and compare OCPI payloads in your browser, with limited field checks for 2.2.1. Nothing you paste leaves this page.

## Check one object

Pick the [module](/guide/glossary), the kind of object you are editing, and its version.
Paste one object into the JSON editor. The form shows its fields; edits in either view update the other.

For 2.2.1, the page's scope is limited:

Checks required-field presence, #NA use in optional strings, available direct types, allowed values, patterns, lengths, DateTime formats, list sizes and credit CDR conditions. Referenced objects receive a shape check only. Nested values and other conditional rules are not checked.

`#NA` represents [unavailable data](https://github.com/ocpi/ocpi/blob/ca8c04c5c8cc10ad1be2a82f61b19377d98e2a67/transport_and_format.asciidoc#transport_and_format_not_available). OCPI permits it only for required string fields in rare cases where the data cannot be filled. Optional strings cannot use it. The page checks whether an ordinary string field is required; it cannot tell whether the sender could obtain the data.

A referenced object is a field whose schema points to another object definition. Its shape is checked; its contents are not.
Field placement is not checked. A result of "No errors in these checks" does not certify OCPI conformance.

For 2.3.0, the page shows field citations only. Field placement and values are not checked.

## Compare with a partner

Choose Compare. Paste a partner's object into the other editor, or use Open file for a JSON file.
The result lists added, removed and changed fields. It compares the two objects; it does not check the other object's values.

If the main editor has no object or either editor does not parse, the page explains why there is nothing to compare yet.

## Keep your edits

Copy JSON and Download save the current editor text, including whitespace or text that does not parse.
Load sample or a module switch asks before replacing your edits. Keep editing preserves them.

A failed check's response can offer Open in the Workbench for a single identified object.
It opens the captured object in memory. Lists, missing evidence, truncated bodies and redacted bodies have no opener.

Nothing is saved automatically. Reloading opens the default sample. Copy or download your edits before leaving.
